Since 2014, Farrs Meadow has welcomed guests seeking simplicity, nature, and quiet joy, helping reconnect hundreds of families, couples, and wanderers with the wild beauty of the Dorset countryside.
A place shaped by nature, rooted in community, and grown with love.

Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Stour Valley, Farrs Meadow began not as a business, but as a place to pause. A pocket of Dorset countryside surrounded by woodland, winding footpaths, and the gentle flow of the River Stour, it was always meant to be shared.
Since opening our gates in 2014, Farrs Meadow has become a haven for those seeking something more than just a place to pitch a tent. It's a community, a slow moment in a fast world, and a space to reconnect with nature, with loved ones, and with yourself.

We’ve kept things simple on purpose. Our ‘tents-only’ meadow preserves the peace of the land, with furnished yurts, shepherd’s huts, and gypsy wagons for those who want comfort with their wild. Showers are tucked inside upcycled horseboxes. Your morning wake-up call? Birdsong, not buzzers.
And if you're lucky, you might just be greeted by our resident alpacas or goats, quietly mowing the meadow as they wander past your tent.

We believe in supporting local. Whether it’s the Kingston Lacy beef from Keatings Butchers in your breakfast box, the handmade wagons built right here in Dorset, or the folk musicians who bring your evening campfire to life, Farrs Meadow is deeply tied to the people and places around it.

That first dip in the River Stour on a hot summer afternoon
Wandering down to the thatched Vine Inn across the fields
Children swinging from ropes in the trees
Laughing under the stars, barefoot in the grass
These aren’t just moments, they’re memories we hope you’ll carry home.

“This is not just a campsite. It’s a feeling—a little bit wild, a little bit magical, and entirely yours while you're here.”
